Following a very successful trial at 25 venues across the United Kingdom that resulted in an 18% increase in draught sales, Corona draught will now be available to pubs and bars.
This is according to Rory McLellan, the former on-trade sales director for the Budweiser Brewing Group. He continues, “Corona Draught meets consumer demand for premium experiences, as well as our customers’ needs to drive increased value sales, improve their category mix and provide a super-premium execution.”
Pints and half-pints of Corona will be poured from a plastic-free tower featuring a metal and wood construct with a glass viewing pane.
A lime holder, attached to the side, ensures that the beer’s trademark lime garnish will be dispensed as part of the pouring process.
There’s even bespoke glassware – modelled on the shape of the classic Corona bottle with an inward-folding lip to allow the lime segment to sit on the edge
More initiatives for bars to add Corona draught to their beer offering are to be rolled out for the launch. These include; wooden drip trays and lime holders, coasters, A-boards and digital toolkits - to drive customers to their nearest Corona draught venue.
